John K. Shepard, Jr. passed away in Jacksonville July 23, 2010 after a brave battle with cancer. He was 62. He was a loving and caring son, brother and uncle. John lived life with a great deal of zeal and passion. He made friends easily and always enjoyed cooking for them. Always one for adventure, he had even worked as a mountain guide.
His survivors include his beloved mother, Anne Shepard, his father: John K. Shepard, Sr., his sister, Trudy Karahalios, and his nephew, Ryder, and nieces, Lauren and Jessica.
The visitation will be Tuesday, July 27 at 7:00pm, followed by the memorial service at 7:30pm at Craig Funeral Home with a private burial at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
