Dallas Jean Kimbrough Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dallas Jean Kimbrough, 93, went to be with Jesus October 6, 2021. She was born in Miami, Florida, to the late Stewart and Florence Stever. She resided in St. Augustine, Florida since 1956, after moving here from New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Dallas graduated from Miami High School where she enjoyed singing and art. She received an Associate of Arts degree from Florida State Woman’s College in Tallahassee, Florida where she studied art. She retired from the St. Augustine YMCA as Director of Administration on March 31, 1989 after 25 years where she enjoyed serving and nurturing the youth in our community. Dallas was an active member in the First United Methodist Church and later with Shores United Methodist Church. She was an amateur artist, loved gardening, and her animals. Dallas cherished her grandchildren & great-grands who called her Memah. Dallas was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Marvin W. Kimbrough, Sr.; her sisters Shirley Stuhl (Lee) and Patty Bell (Jim). She is survived by her daughter Karen Hollingsworth (Richard); son M.W. “Rocky” Kimbrough, Jr. (Rebecca, deceased); grandchildren Richard “David” Hollingsworth, Jr. (Carmelina) and Kristie Carol Pitman (Colby); great-grandchildren Jonathan David Hollingsworth; & Ryker Daniel Hollingsworth of St. Augustine, Florida; & Kaelin Kristie Pitman of Galway, NY. Dallas is also survived by many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Dallas’s life will be held at Craig Funeral Home Saturday December 4, 2021 at 10am.
