Donald Richard Thomas Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Donald Richard Thomas, Sr. (DT/Uncle Don/PopPop) of St. Augustine, FL passed away on July 25, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. He “kept on keeping on” as long as he was able. He was 84. Don was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. Family was most important to Dad and he loved spending time with his “Sweet Reenie,” riding motorcycles, fishing, and grilling up some of the best “bones.” He also loved to build and woodwork and was an amazing craftsman. He proudly wore “Man Glitter” his entire life as an occupational badge of honor. He took great pleasure in mentoring others and shared his many talents with family and friends. Don loved to make people smile and laugh and the self-proclaimed “charismatologist” made it his mission to spread kindness and humor to everyone he met. Don is survived by his loving wife, Irene, his sister Lois, his children Stephen (Kristin), Ken (Dee), Paul (Diane), Michael, Allyson, Eileen (Mike), and Don (Ann); grandchildren Mike, Christopher, Paul, Tricia, Rachel, Colleen, Matthew, Brendan, Ryan, Elise, Kyle and Joey; great-grandchildren Jay, Jackson, Stella, Jaxson, Samuel, and Finn; and his precious pups Molly and Mindy. Don was preceded in death by his brother, Ken, and his parents, Herbert and Estella. A Celebration of Life will be held 1PM Wednesday, August 3rd at Craig Funeral Home, St. Augustine, Fl.
