Irma James

Irma James passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on January 15th, 2022 at her St. Augustine home. Irma was born June, 18th, 1926 in Plymouth, Michigan. She married Delbert Larrick and had 5 children: Lynda Thibault (Husband Tony), Bonnie Metz, Mona Stewart (Husband Jim), She was predeceased by her sons Dale and Richard Larrick. She retired from Adistra in the summer of 1982 and moved to St. Augustine. After the death of Delbert, she married Clarence James. Irma was known for always playing cards with friends and family and being an active participant of the St. Johns Council of Aging. She also was a long-time member of Destiny Church. She loved to crochet afghans and small crosses. Her afghans and crosses are all over the world. Irma, known to everyone as Grandma, has 12 Grandchildren, 29 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great, Great Grandchildren. Irma James’ funeral will be held at Destiny Church in St. Augustine; on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 1PM, a visitation will be held from 12PM - 1PM the hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the St. Johns County Council of Aging (Coasjc.org) in memory of Irma James.
