Joan Marie Nyberg

July 15, 1933 - April 11, 2022

On the evening of April 11, 2022, Joan Marie Nyberg of Palm Coast, Florida passed away at the age of 88. Joan was born to Eva and John Sullivan in Roxbury, Massachusetts on July 15, 1933. Joan met Charles Nyberg in 1953 and the two were married in 1954. They then moved to Hoboken, New Jersey where they raised their 3 children, until 1983 when they relocated to St. Augustine, Florida. Joan was a homemaker and took joy in raising and caring for her children, and helped with raising and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan was loved by all and was known for her silly sense of humor and as she loved to laugh and make others laugh even at her own expense. She even had her own words we referred to as “NANA-ISMS”…our faves being “SQUARE -ELS” instead of squirrels. She and dad loved to go to the dog track every weekend and out to eat. She loved to play Bingo and would meet her group of friends there, have dinner, share stories and play. She was a very dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and wife. Joan is preceded in death by her husband Charles R Nyberg. Joan is survived by her children Janet Eskenazi, Charles D Nyberg and Tracey Baxter. Her Grandchildren Michelle Brereton, Dustin Nyberg, Emily Baxter, Jeannie Nyberg, Gianna Nyberg, Ryan Baxter and Brent Baxter. Her Great-Grandchildren Grayson Hairston, Evelyn Nyberg and Zayden Baxter.
