    Nina Virginia Coleman

    February 5, 1936 - March 10, 2022

Nina Virginia Mauldin Coleman, 86, died peacefully in hospice care on March 10, 2022, in Jacksonville, FL. Nina was born on February 5, 1936, to Neal and Ruth Mauldin in Orlando, FL. She was the oldest of five children and their only daughter. In an effort to find work after the beginning of WWII, the Mauldin family moved to Jacksonville in 1942. In 1955, Nina graduated from Robert E Lee HS. She was a past member of Wesconnett Order of the Eastern Star, and a current member of Blanding Boulevard Baptist Church. Nina retired from Wachovia in 1998, after working the majority of her career in the banking industry. After Nina’s retirement, she and her husband, Frank, moved to Jesup, GA, where they were active members of Trinity Baptist Church. Nina returned to Jacksonville to be with her family after Frank’s death in 2009. Nina is survived by her children: Ronald Steven Taylor & Linda (Robert) Schwabe; grandson, Nathan; and her brother, Jack (Harriett) Mauldin. Nina is predeceased by her parents, Ruth & Neal Mauldin; husband of 38 years, Frank Coleman; and brothers: Howard, Richard, and Patrick Mauldin. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 am on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Blanding Boulevard Baptist Church.
