Patricia Hope Hill

Patricia Hope Hill, age 88, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2022 at the Bailey Center of Community Hospice. Patricia, an only child of Patrick and Georgiana Amandelora was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ. After finishing high school Patricia began working in Manhattan as a secretary at the FBI under the leadership of J. Edgar Hoover. She met and married her late husband of 55 years, Daniel J. Hill. Daniel was a career military man and Patricia spent many years as a military wife stationed in both the United States and Germany, They established roots for their family of four including their son, Danny and daughter, Gigi on Anastasia Island in 1970. She was a member of the German/ American Club and enjoyed regular aqua exercise at the Beach and Tennis Club. One of her favorite pastimes however, was writing letters regularly to her pen pal, Rosemary. At age 12 Patricia began writing to her pal in Wales and continued throughout her entire life. She will be fondly remembered as a “true lady”, kind, nurturing and generous. She will be truly missed by those that survive her including her daughter, Gigi and son-in-law Eric Berger as well as her family of the heart; daughter, Robin and son, Bernie Packo; sister, Mary Ann Garbarino; grandchildren; BJ, Sean, Brian, Jason, Steven and Nikki; great-grandchildren; Bentley, Charlie, Julia, Mavi,  Daisey and Parker and dear friend Michelle Weinberg. Her son Daniel P. Hill preceded her in death. A gathering will begin at 10:30am, Thursday, February 24th with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00am at Craig Funeral Home followed by burial at Craig Memorial Park In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made at Community Hospice. com or mailed to 4266 Sunbeam Road Jacksonville, FL 32257.
