Paulette Avery Cassell, 69, of St. Augustine, FL has gone to be with the Lord. She was born on December 2, 1950, at her family home in Upton, KY to the late Paul Cleaver and Nancy Roddey Avery. She graduated from East Hardin High School in 1968 and went on to attend the University of Kentucky. Her wanderlust took her all over, visiting the beautiful people in her life and new places, but her love of the beach led her to settle in her beloved St. Augustine, Florida. Her legacy is her unwavering faith and how she loved so fiercely. Left to cherish her memory is her son Barton Palmer Cassell (Addison, Davis, and Woods), daughter Dawn Avery Cassell Phillips and husband, Josh (Weston, Jackson, Grady, Ada and Abi) as well as numerous other family members and friends. Due to health concerns, a celebration of Paulette’s life will be privately held on Sunday, November 1 at 2:00 PM. There will also be a live stream option for those that cannot attend in person (details for online viewing will be forthcoming. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for small donations to St. Judes Children’s Hospital (donate at https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html) or local Humane Society in Paulette’s memory.
