Renee Lynne Trinca
June 2, 1944 - May 30, 2022
Renee Lynn Follett Trinca passed away peacefully on May 30, 2022 at the Bailey Center Hospice in St. Augustine, Florida. A beautiful light has dimmed but not been extinguished because the aura of her dynamic personality lives on. She suffered from Alzheimer’s but never lost the ability to bring joy and happiness with an infectious laugh and sense of humor that will be remembered forever. All who knew Renee were impacted positively by her fun-loving spirit and generosity. Her kindness knew no bounds, whether feeding carrots daily to wild bunnies; helping homeless people in various ways; adopting stray cats; or merely giving thoughtful, generous gifts. Friends and family have always been welcome at their lovely home where she and her husband Len hosted wonderful parties, delicious meals, and adventuresome excursions to the beach. She loved it there, starting and ending most days with a walk to view, often photographing, the beautiful sunrise or sunset. Renee and Len were entrepreneurs during their years together, owning several successful businesses across the US and internationally, from satellites to toy pianos. Their success resulted from being strong business partners, along with an incredible, deep love for each other. Traveling for both business and pleasure resulted in many memorable adventures around the world. Renee loved attending Anastasia Baptist Church (ABC) both in person and online, singing her favorite songs to worship the Lord. As believers, we are confident of seeing her again and hearing the infectious laugh that lives on in our memories. Renee leaves her best friend and husband of 40 years Len; daughter Susan Verason; stepdaughters Kimberly Trinca and Lisa (John) Pierson; two precious grandchildren, Dylan Trinca and Taylor Pierson; three sisters: Donna Jahnel of Schenectady NY, Bonnie Hadden of Waterloo SC, Patricia Savicki of New Hartford NY; many special nieces and nephews who adored their Aunt Nay; her dearest friend for 53 years, Nancy Gardner; and two beloved canine companions, Max and Greta. The family is extremely grateful for the support of so many, with special thanks to our Anastasia Baptist Church family and the Sage Brain Academy (SBA) group who so lovingly provided Renee with strength and peace. A scholarship in Renee’s memory has been established at SBA to subsidize tuition. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the scholarship fund will be greatly appreciated.
