Robert "Bobby" Blount

October 9, 1938 - May 19, 2022

Robert “Bobby” Blount, of Crescent Beach, passed from this life on Thursday, May 19, 2022. Born in St. Augustine, Florida to Burton Knox Blount of the Blount and Knox families of Tennessee and Mable Stella Masters of the Masters and Triay families of Elkton. Robert was baptized in St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Elkton. He was proud of his heritage and his deep rooted “Minorcan” history and family. Robert spent 50 years in the Produce Snack Food Industry, with the last twenty years traveling the potato farms of Florida, North Carolina, Finger Lakes area of New York, and Michigan. He was headquartered in Bird-In-Hand, Pennsylvania as a broker of potatoes for potato chip plants in the Northeastern and Mid-Western states. When work was done Bobby enjoyed, a round of golf, a beach stroll, a good read, crossword, or watching a Florida State football or basketball game. Robert is survived by his sister Jettye, nieces and nephews, Dee Dee Blount, Amanda Echols, Michael Blount, Keith Blount, and Cole White. Also; by many special cousins of the Masters, Triay, and Blount families as well as many loved friends. Services will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Craig Funeral Home.
