Robert Tyler Sircy passed away peacefully in his favorite chair with family at his side on May 27, 2021. Rob was born June 4, 1925 on a farm in Logan County, Kentucky. He graduated from high school where he played basketball. He was voted athlete of the year and became a lifetime Kentucky Wildcat fan. After graduation he joined the Marine Corp. He was a WWII veteran awarded the Purple Heart for injuries received upon landing on Saipan. He and one brother came home while the other two brothers died for their country. Rob had lived in St Augustine for 76 wonderful years where he had many jobs most notably with the Postal Service. He met many people who still recognize him today. He also did Meals on Wheels with his wife Dolores and volunteered at the FSDB. Rob was a member of Trinity Parish for 70 years where he ushered and taught Sunday school. Rob was predeceased by his parents, five brothers one sister, his wife Dolores and his daughter Robin Lewis. He is survived by daughter Lindy Grant (Thomas) and Susan Layne (Ken), his five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild who all lovingly called him Papa Rob.
