Therese Marie Armata Passaro, born May 22, 1967- February 23, 2022, survived by her adoring husband Rick, her pups Sadie and Ryan, brothers John, Tony (nephew Anthony), Jimmy and Karen (nieces Casey and Amy.) Terry was born in Smithtown General Hospital along with all her siblings and we enjoyed our residence for the majority of years growing up in the Village of the Branch in Hillside Terrace off route 111 in Smithtown, attending St. Patrick’s and her high school years at Longwood when we moved to Birchwood at Bretton Woods condominium in Coram. There were countless summers in upstate New York in which we ventured on many a mountain climbing expedition with the challenges of Mt. Marcy, Whiteface, and who could forget Whitecross that ended in, well the cross getting knocked down by no fault of the eager name carvers on sight, but more to do with the tattered and torn symbol that had seen better days but could always be viewed clearly from our lakefront home we rented. Those summer days were some of our finest family memories that also included campfire sing-alongs, the rec hall shenanigans, countless talent shows and of course the delicious candy store. The summers faded, the condo days came to a close and “Jerry”, as I affectionately called her relocated to St. Augustine to be with Tony and Isabella, her loving and adoring parents., eventually becoming a successful owner of her own condo on Anastasia Island. She proudly worked in the medical field as a phlebotomist, a medical assistant caring for patients at the local hospital, the local cancer clinic and drawing blood as part of a routine trip to Jacksonville. Terry was passionate about of her political affiliations and proudly represented her party as well as the candidates via demonstrations, rallies, and volunteer work. She loved buzzing around on her scooter, riding her Sea Doo jet ski at the beach, and caring for her dogs that she unselfishly rescued, treating them as her little babies. She explored acting with most memorable performances during the Halloween months in which she became an expert at haunting houses and engaging in the many tourists that visited attractions available in the heart of St. Augustine. Terry eventually settled down, met Rick, the man of her dreams who affectionately greeted her as “my little honey buns” and eventually had that fairy tale wedding with all the trimmings surrounded by family. On a recent bucket list trip to the glamorous resort at Sanibel Island, on a gorgeous balmy, star-studded evening, while walking along the beach Terry reached over, whispered in Ricks’ ear, “I love you almost as much as Sadie and Ryan.” They laughed with tears streaming down their faces as a couple madly in love and content beyond words with one another. It was this passion and compassion that carried Terry in her final days and bravely venture on to be with Dad, Mom, Michael, and Suzy in heaven. Please join us in a collective, wholehearted loving hug to our dear sister, daughter, wife, aunt, and one of the gentlest, caring, sincere, beautiful souls taken far too soon. We love you dearly Terry and will always remember your good natured, caring disposition and most infectious laugh and sense of humor. Rest in peace sweet Terry and fly safely in heaven.
