William "Bill" Wall

July 7, 1939 - April 25, 2022

William “Bill” Louis Wall, 83, of St. Augustine passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bill proudly served in the US Marine Corps, after which he graduated from University of Tulsa with a degree in accounting. He then worked for Peat Marwick Firm, where he quickly realized that his passion was with athletics and joined the University of Tulsa athletic department, followed by the USFL Phoenix Outlaws. Later he served as the Associate Athletic Director for University of Miami where they won the National Championship in 1987, he then retired as the Athletic Director, for the University of Tampa. Preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Louis Wall and his brother Thomas Wall. He is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 30 years, Sissy Casto Wall, his brother Bob (Betty) Wall, his daughters Caroline and Catherine Wall, his stepchildren, Darin Alred, Clint (Stella) Sanders, Mike Sanders, Maria (Tom) Eimer, Katy (Rick) Hampton and Missy Sanders, 11 Grandchildren, all to whom he was affectionately known as “Grandman”, 1 Great-Grandson and his loving, caregiver Brandy Worden and her two daughters. He was family to everyone he met and loved by all. Funeral services will be officiated by Father Ted Voorhees on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church.
